What to include in a technical report
A reproducible description is usually more useful than the original document. When possible, include the tool and intended action, browser name and approximate version, operating system and device type, reproduction steps, displayed error without sensitive information, and approximate file size and page count without attaching the file.
Protect document information
Do not send confidential PDFs, passwords, access credentials or sensitive personal data. MergePilot does not need the original document to investigate most errors. If behavior depends on a file, try a synthetic PDF with no real information and explain the relevant feature, such as page count, approximate size or whether it requests an opening password.
A security report should describe impact and reproduction steps without exploiting other people’s data or including private documents. This contact page does not replace emergency services or professional advice.
